Thirteen days till the “due date”. Thirteen days that I’m sure will feel like thirty. We are sticking close to home these last couple weeks, it only makes sense, but it does add to my cagey, doing nothing but waiting feeling. As always though, good people surround me.
My mother and sister have called with kind words […]

Sherman and I aren’t big drivers. There are numerous reasons for this…the car…the other drivers…currently the fact that I am a space case and am not allowed to drive right now. I’m sure we will start to drive more often…but in the meantime I’ll stay parked. I did crack up when I saw this though…
I […]

The Dr. said that everything looks great. Honestly…although comforted and happy about this I was hoping for a bit more. Maybe something along the lines of “Good Lord woman we need to get you to the hospital now! You are having this baby!”. No such luck. Ah well, this is the way it goes right?
Really, […]

Dolls scare me. Stuffed animals, fine, dolls…especially the baby sized ones, or ones with exagerated features just give me the willies. I know this may become and issue if Comma is a girl but maybe if I’m lucky…
I just see these creepy little faces with eyes that don’t shut. Painted on faces, it’s kind of like […]

I hung the mobile this morning. I thinks it’s awesome. I especially like the way the monkeys are helping out…
Seriously though, its perfect, the height is adjustable and the monkeys control it all! Wahoo! for monkeys!
Ok. Yes I’m a bit punchy I know. The bags are packed, the room is ready, just waiting on the kiddo now.

I’m going a bit stir crazy…
Since Friday I have been experiencing every pre-labor symptom in the book…well four books actually…four books and numerous websites. My body seems to be saying ok…it’s about showtime! But then turns into a Diva, dives into it’s trailer and demands water.
On one hand, I’m glad. We have a lot of […]

No. I haven’t had the baby yet. What I have been doing is being horribly lazy. Like Sherman told me the other day that I might want to put on something other than my pajamas since I would probably live in them later.
I know that…I knew that…I had been in normal clothes earlier, I […]

So I have this thing for bluegrass music lately. Sherman laughs at me…for example…the following conversation
Me– “1952 Vincent Black Lightening” , Del McCoury Band I just heard this song I love it
Sherman– Nice. Write it down somewhere
Sherman– “Red Hair and Black Leather. My favorite color scheme”
Me– I LOVE IT! They took it down to […]

Real quick here.…
I have been watching “A baby story” and “Bringing home baby”. It’s good for me They have taught me that women do give birth without turning into monsters all of the time, that nobody really knows what to do with a newborn but they survive, and that everybody gets a little nuts […]

Yesterday I managed to drive out to Shakopee to drop the motor off. Last year we were using the boat motor that decided to go kaputz…
Needless to say we don’t live in an area where boat motor repair shops are every other block. So…to Shakopee. The woman at the counter was very nice…but the place […]
